Carrying Different Crosses

Sometimes our crosses in life can get so incredibly heavy, and it feels like we’re going to fall and never be able to get back up. We see other people who seem to be living life so perfectly, and it can start to feel like we’re failing. However, we never truly know what another person is going through. We all have different crosses to carry. Some of us struggle with our mental health, others struggle to make ends meet, others have family problems, while others are physically ill. There are countless other crosses people are forced to carry in life, and while some are temporary, others we may carry our entire lifetime. So what’s the point? Why do we have to carry these incredibly heavy crosses in life? We may never know the answer to that until we get to Heaven, but one thing we do know is that God promises to walk with us every step of the way. Use your cross as a way to get closer to our King. Our Savior carried the weight of all of our sins and died for them; He is fully equipped to help us carry our crosses. And since all of our crosses are different it is so important to just be kind. You may never know what someone else is carrying, because some of us have learned to carry our crosses very well. It can be a hard challenge, but I pray that as difficult as it may be, we may have the courage to embrace our crosses and carry them proudly. Our crosses shape who we are, and enable us to grow deeper into our relationship with God and who He has destined us to become.

XOXO, MC
