“New Year, New Me.” We’ve heard it. We’ve seen it. Most of us have said it. But what if I told you that a new year doesn’t have to mean a new you but a better you? Because in the end the essence of who we are, the essence of who God created us to be doesn’t change, but is emphasized. You have beautiful, wonderful qualities that God placed in you for a reason. In an effort to create a great 2019 don't abandon these exquisitely unique qualities that God has blessed you with. We ALL have things we want to change, and the new year seems like the most obvious time to do that. Lose ten pounds, gain ten pounds, learn how to cook, workout more, eat less, drink more water. These resolutions are all great physical goals, but I encourage you to establish a spiritual goal for this year as well. Do a devotional (Jesus Calling is a personal fav), listen to more praise and worship music (Lauren Daigle will change your life), say the rosary, journal, read the bible, go to church more, whatever works best for you. Don’t be afraid to try out several things and pick the one you like the best. This is your relationship with God and no one else’s. Don’t be intimidated by the mentality that a new year means creating a whole new you. You have to start somewhere, and it’s with yourself. With who you are and who God is calling you to become.
XOXO, MC
How I love being on this journey of faith with you! You know, I’m totally okay with being an imperfect Christian; it helps me to remember that God is always with me and He’s not finished with me yet. ❤️
Beautifully communicated and from such a young soul!
