Who Is In Control?

One of the hardest things for us to come to terms with is that we are not in full control of our lives. When you think about it, this can be frustrating and comforting at the same time. We constantly want to take control of our lives, make our own decisions, and worry about the consequences later. We act this way because we can only view our situations from an earthly perspective, and it can be scary to let go of that sense of control. However, our King sees things from a perspective we are incapable of seeing here on earth. He knows our true purpose, and He wants to guide us on the path that will get us there, but, often times, those paths aren’t the ones we want to follow in the moment. Our view of the paths of life are often foggy and unclear, while God’s view is bright and understandable. However, one of the most beautiful things about our faith, is that God does not force us to give Him control over our lives. It is a choice each of us has to make daily. Giving God control over the big and small choices of life is a beautiful and grace-filled thing. Sometimes, God’s path isn’t a magically happy one. Following God’s path can sometimes lead to challenges, but we must remember that God would not lead us on this path if it wasn’t fit for us. Allow God’s control over your life to be a comforting thing, not a frustrating thing. When God is in control of your life, the most wonderful things are in store for you. He will lead you to places you never thought you would get to. He is almighty and all-knowing, and all He wants is to make you the happiest of happy. I pray that we all have the courage to allow God to take control of our decisions, the big and small.

XOXO, MC
